How Dustly is paid for
Dustly is free. Three things pay for it, and each is always labelled where you see it. None of them is ever shown to children.
Ads
Some cleaning guides contain an ad, marked Advertisement. Ads never appear elsewhere in the app, never in the first part of a guide, and at most one per screenful. They're provided by Google AdMob. Before any ad loads you can choose personalised or non-personalised ads where the law requires it, and change that later in Settings › Privacy choices for ads. On iPhone, the app also asks for permission to track first.
Affiliate links
Guides may recommend products in a "What we use" section marked Affiliate links. If you buy something after tapping one, the shop may pay us a small commission. It doesn't change the price you pay. We only recommend things that suit the job, and a product's commission doesn't decide whether we recommend it. We count how many times each link is tapped, but not who tapped it. As an Amazon Associate we earn from qualifying purchases. [Keep only if the Amazon programme is used.]
Sponsorships
Brands can sponsor a guide or a ready-made routine for a set period. Sponsored content carries a Sponsored label with the brand's name, and the label comes off when the campaign ends. Sponsors don't get to change our cleaning advice to suit their products, and they don't receive any personal data: only totals of how many times their content was shown and tapped.
